Ebay followup. BMWRecyclers claims to have followed through on threats

After the first thread went up in flames, with people accusing me of lying or omitting some information i decided to delete it and wait until the issue has been resolved before reposting and including all the details.

    The item purchased: http://www.ebay.com/itm/361285511140...2881b48b5&cp=1

Immediately after purchase, I emailed the BMWRecyclers and let them know that i was about to change my paypal address from my old residence (Address A). As proof of this, see: https://i.imgur.com/WHJ9VuN.png

BMWRecyclers acknowledged this and shipped the first package to the correct address (Address B). The package arrived not as described, missing the grill/mounting bracket. This was the entire reason for my purchase as $16 shipped (the winning offer) was cheaper than a brand new grill alone + shipping on ECS.

BMWRecyclers promptly shipped the grill out but sent it to the wrong address. Given that the first package had come wrong, i declined to close out the dispute until I had the grill in hand. At this point, BMWRecyclers became irate. He dug up an old linkenin profile and used information on it to threaten to compromise my employment. Since the information was outdated i cannot know if he actually did follow up on doing so but he claims to have done so.

BMWRecyclers finally approved a return and i sent the gong back, getting a refund. About a week later, the package containing the grill arrived. This was not expected since tracking said it had been returned to sender. After verifying that it was what was originally promised, i returned the $16. The gong is useless to me, he can keep it.

In the days since, i have noticed an extreme uptick in the amount of unsolicited sales calls i have received. In addition, there was a craigslist add posted with my phone number on it, claiming to be selling an iPhone at an absurdly low price. Lacking the proof i declined to make accusations. Yesterday however, someone from Iowa called on behalf of an environmental action group asking for BMWRecyclers (Max) by name, saying that he has committed to be a volunteer for their event.

As requested in the previous thread, here is the full email transcript. I'm posing in ascending order for easier reading.

*edit* Re-ordered the pictures. Start at the bottom and read up.

If you think i could have handled the whole situation better you might be right. If i were to do it over again i certainly would. This has been miserable to deal with. I'm not trying to start a hate-fest or get 'even'. I am posting this ONLY to document the actions of this person, actions that i believe to be unacceptable in any circumstance. The next person that BMWRecyclers threatens might have up to date information on their linkedin and might actually get fired over a $16 bracket.

    So in summary, BMWRecyclers has:
    • Used information from Ebay in ways not keeping with the terms of service
    • Threatened to harass my employer in my name
    • Claimed to have followed up on those threats
    • Sent unsolicited NWS content to my email address
    • Distributed my phone number to at least one outside organization under false pretenses

This could have also been R3v retribution in Max's (BMW Recyclers) name... I've seen stranger things happen.

Some of his emails were pretty unprofessional, but it definitely seems like you could have handled it a bit better as well. Seems a Paypal address change before purchase would have solved all of this... that's Ebay 101.

Anyway, hope it gets resolved soon for both parties. Crappy transactions are like pulling teeth.

you're still purposefully excluding details that make you out to be a dick, the transition in the sellers' attitude between 6/16 and 6/19 doesn't make any sense. either that or you were a dick over the phone or something. this thread is just as pointless as your last one.

Perhaps i should have re-ordered the pictures. The bottom of picture two starts where the bottom of picture one leaves off. The fragment on the top of the first picture where he offers his phone number is the end of the post where he said said 'I look care of it right away'.

          *edit* re-ordered the pictures

*edit* If you stopped being more focused on making me out to be a liar than looking for truth you would have noticed the order of the dates on the emails.

you're either so bad at lying that you can't keep your story straight -OR- you're a complete fool when it comes to online transactions. the seller immediately went to fix his mistake when he found out he forgot to ship the grill, the resulting shitshow was your fault for not having your info correct

            also, this

            and this

I'l answer this last one then you should go back to /b/ with your troll brethern.

              From previous thread:
              Time 0: Item is purchased
Time +1 min: Email is sent to seller notifying him that i am about to change my paypal address
Time +5 min: Paypal address is changed and seller is notified.
Time +3 days: First package arrives to correct address.
Time +4 days: Second package is shipped to original address

              Clear that up for you?

Didn't actually get delivered. Post office bounced it because the forward was in limbo.

On June 19, the tracking page stated that it was undelivered and would be returned to sender. At this point, i shipped out the return. It looks like the mail forward kicked in as the package was on its way back to Iowa.

                  ^ I lolled.

OP, We get it man. Sounds like this Max guy would fit right in over here at R3V.

Wait, that's not the point you were trying to get across? Well I guess we don't get it then. Jalopi, please continue to clear this up for us.
