    Question about Shadowline.

Im getting ready to shadow line the trim on my e30. I'm just going to scuff it and spray it with SEM black trim. My question is would it be safe to scuff and spray the piece that covers the top of the door as well as the two strip of metal that's inbetween the door and rear window? Has anyone scuffed and sprayed these and have the come out good. I'm referring to D, I, F, and G.

I haven't painted f and g, but I've painted the rest. If you have pop out rear windows, i would take them out of the car to paint them. They are held in with three screws each, and it will produce a far better result than trying to paint them in the car.

Yeah, I've already taken all the trim off of my car and I'm going to take out the rear like you said and mask it off. I was just a little worried about the two middle pieces and pieces d and I.

yeah....it will never last that way. in a year or so the paint will probably start chipping off and it will look like crap. if you want to do it right, take the trim off and send it out to be powder coated.
