Im getting ready to shadow line the trim on my e30. I'm just going to scuff it and spray it with SEM black trim. My question is would it be safe to scuff and spray the piece that covers the top of the door as well as the two strip of metal that's inbetween the door and rear window? Has anyone scuffed and sprayed these and have the come out good. I'm referring to D, I, F, and G.

yeah....it will never last that way. in a year or so the paint will probably start chipping off and it will look like crap. if you want to do it right, take the trim off and send it out to be powder coated.sigpic
