    Trilogy Marathon

So I was talking with my roommate about movies and I came up with the idea of doing a trilogy marathon in which you would watch all of the best trilogies ever made in one long session. We figured you should watch the first movie of every trilogy then move to the second. Of course I have no intention of doing this but it's fun to think about. Here are the movies we came up with:

    Star Wars
    Indiana Jones
    Back to the Future
    Matrix
    Aliens
    Total run time: 30.95 hours

Lord of the Rings is a long shot because it would just be too much to take

some others we came up with:

    The Godfather
    Die Hard
    Terminator
    Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles

Can you think of movies we forgot? Come up with a better combination?

    There are 4 Alien Movies.

The only ones worth doing would be Star Wars, Back to the Future, Indiana Jones, Godfather, and Die Hard.

The 3rd movies of the Matrix, Terminator, and the 2nd and 3rd Ninja Turtles all blew big nuts.

Star Wars is a trilogy, I consider it two trilogies but one isn't done yet. I think most people think of it that way.

        There are 4 Alien Movies.
Yeah we thought about that but my roommate says the fourth one doesn't count because it doesn't follow the same storyline as the other three. I don't know, I never saw the third or fourth ones.

I didn't forgrt Indiana Jones, it's on the first list :) I don't know if I'd consider the Jay and Silent Bob series a trilogy because there's also Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back and that makes four movies. Good idea though, I didn't even think about that.

If your going to consider the Jay and Silent Bob then what about El Mariachi, Desperado, and Once Upon A Time in Mexico. Not saying these are great movies but the guns scenes were cool

5 movies? What is after Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back? And don't say Jersey Girl.

Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back= 5 total (Work on them countin skillz ;))

the real trilogy is the 1st 3, as Dogma has little to do with them, and "Strike Back" is more of an extra episode of all the characters from the first 3. How come I'm the ONLY one to mention Clerks???!? weird.

Adam Sandler "Triology", just pick any one his 3 good ones: Billy Madison, Happy Gilmore, and Big Daddy. Little Nicky would be like the fourth. Add or alter my choices, but they are very similar Adams, and a great marathon to see.

How about the "triology in which sean penn plays basically the same character"?
