    325iX Touring vs. 325iX Touring

Hey everyone, I'm new to the forum and to E30s in general. I used to drive a RHD E36 while we were stationed in Japan and we own an X1, but I've been a rotary engine junkie for the most part. Since we're currently stationed in Germany, I figured that I'd get an old BMW that I can ship back when it's time for us to return stateside. There are a lot of cool classic european cars out here for decent money but the 325iX appealed to me the most. I'm not planning on doing anything crazy, just a decent suspension, track worthy brakes, a few aesthetics, reliable engine (maybe turbo next year), and redo the interior to match my kids' Recaro car seats (slate). I want to do some laps in Nurburgring and Hockenheimring by Summer next year and do it as much as I can while we're here. I have about 10K to spend on the car and parts but I'm sure like my other cars, it's gonna be a bottomless money pit. I've already staged a comfy pillow and blanket in our living room 'cause it's just a matter of time before my wife kicks me out lol
So after searching for about 3 months, I finally narrowed my selections to these two wagons. I would like to hear everyones input and any advice that will help. Thanks in advance!

This one seems to be in a very good condition except for a few rust spots on the bottom parts of 3 of the doors (from what I was told). The owner is including 3 replacement doors with the deal. I have yet to see it physically since it's 6 hrs away. But from speaking with the owner, he told me that it failed the inspection due to 2 cracked springs. My guess is it's the spring perch or maybe a sway bar mount. A/C needs refrigerant and all the maintenance work was performed by a local BMW service center (documented). €8000 is the lowest he would consider but I think I can get it down to €7500. But if I were to get this, I would either have to tow it, have it delivered, or borrow a temporary plate since it is not currently registered.

This one is about 4 hrs away. It's in a decent condition with an M50 swap. Currently registered but has some brake issues. the owner doesn't recommend a long trip so I either have to tow it back or pay somebody to transport it for me. €2000 is the lowest he would consider.

I just bought my Mtech touring for much..much less than these 2. I'm not saying they're over priced but I know there are examples, without rust or motor swaps(wouldn't be able to take that one back home btw), for like 1/2 that amount.

I wasn't aware about the swap, thanks for the info!
I've seen a few decent RWD for much less but I want the iX and so far from what I've seen, these 2 are the average for their condition. Most local dealers that cater to Americans are pretty shady and the ones I've seen in bookoo are priced as if it was bedazzled in cubic zirconia lol
There's a couple more within the vicinity but the owners doesn't speak English and my German is a s good as my 2 year old's, and I'd hate to bother anyone to do the dealing for me.
