for anyone interested in porsche 928s [supercharger pics]

I got my project mostly finished and its *ALMOST* running great. I just replaced my throwout/pilot bearing in my clutch so I didn't get to drive it much for the past week.

I was suprised how easy it was to take the clutch out, but due to complications with rusted bolts and difficult exhaust pieces, i had to remove the entire exhaust. All you gotta do is remove the lower-bell housing (the bell housing is split in half, bottom part comes off w/ 6 bolts), put some spacers on the pressure plate to keep it disengaged, take out some bolts, slide a central shaft back, and it drops right out the bottom. If I didn't have to remove the exhaust, i could literally have the clutch out in less than 30 mins.

So anyways, heres some pics. My intake is obviously still being figured out. Not sure how i'm going to position it and whatnot. Once again, this is 5psi of boost non-intercooed, we're conservatively estimating my car to have about 365hp @ the crank.

365 with those conservative marks? you must have one hell of an engine there.

Well, the motor is rated stock @ 288hp. Before '87, porsche rated their cars conservatively. My garage-buddy got 18hp per PSI of boost, so I played it safe and said 15hp. So, with those numbers, math gives 363. I removed the 3rd/rear-muffler and have a much better flowing intake now, so that's gotta be good for enough horsies to claim 365. I'm also running a slightly larger Euro throttle body.

Nice, you will ditch the HOT air intake, right?

Totally! Anytime you're in the area give me a call. I'll probably still have that decklid laying around by the time you've got the money and time =)

Believe it or not, that's where the stock intake sits. Cool air moves over the radiator and into the engine bay. The stock intakes were 2 inlets that sat on opposite sides of the raditaor. I'm going to see if I can figure out a method to position the intake downwards (pointing @ the ground) with some sort of heat-shield.
