Help a BMW noobie! Looking into this '91 318is

Hey everyone, need some help if at all possible. I checked out a '91 318iS yesterday. I'm looking into it as a daily driver, time to start garaging my S4. Can't justify filling it up every ~170 miles lately. Car drove well, 140,000 on the clock, brake lining light was lit and the inspection dial was over on the yellow side.

I haven't seen an interior this clean in quite a bit of time. I am a total BMW noobie but have ALWAYS loved the e30 chassis. This car has lots of potential as a daily driver. Slow as piss, but I'll have the S4 for the weekend romps. If anyone can tell me what to look out for or give me some pointers, it would be appreciated.

They are asking $2,895 as internet pricing. I'm thinking if I walk in with $2,500 in cash, it would be a sale.

And a picture of my S4 for giggles.

3 grand is a steal for that car if it runs well. Have the dealership put it on a lift and take the front left wheel off and check the pads. the lining light only comes on when the pads are really thin.

Looks nice to me. Price drastically depends on region and availability. Where are you located?

Interior is super mint, cars looks pretty good and the m42 is a decent motor. Your s4 is beautiful.

fucking go for it! thats a sweet ass deal, the brake lining light is just a sensor issue (Easy fix) and the inspection light can be turned off w/ a paperclip. that is a bitchen car dude, get it. just a warning though- the second you put suspension on it, if you do, you're going to forget all about that s4 for a little bit. e30s are so sweet in the twisties.

sick s4 btw, any more pics?

Here are some more.. enjoy. I'm getting insurance quotes on the 318 as we speak. Also, can someone point me in the right direction. I'd like to know where to purchase GC kit and Koni SA's, or a KW 60/40 kit.

Damn man Id pick that up in a heartbeat. A well maintained m42 should last 200k no problem. Definately get it checked out by a mechanic and even if it does need pads those are like 80-100 bucks if you put em in yourself.

Mpactmotorsports.com is a GC dealer and their customer service is 10x better than GC direct.
