Any help would be appreciated. Water Leaks.

I just stripped my interior and I'm trying to pinpoint a couple leaks. My sunroof drains are clean and drain properly as well as my rocker drains, I cleand my elephant trunk but the lip crumbled so there is none on the car now. I had one of my friend spray water on the cowl to help precisely see where the water is coming in at. Now on the drivers side the water is coming in from these two holes.

I believe these are the holes cutouts for the clutch pedal. My car is an auto (I know), could anyone tell me if these holes are supposed to be plugged, and if so can someone help me out with the parts number? I looked on realOEM and could find anything. Now on the passenger side the water seems to be coming in from the fire wall behind the trans tunnel, I have no idea what's causing that so any help would be appreciated.

I don't know about the one by the clutch pedal but check if your elephant trunk/nose is clogged under the hood on the firewall.

It's unclogged, actuall it's not even there. The lip crumbled apart when I took it off to clean it.

I know there is a rubber grommet behind the gas pedal area that can let water in. If I remember correctly there is a grommet around the steering column that goes thru the firewall

I had a similar issue with mine leaking around the trans tunnel like you mentioned. It ended up being a bad seal on the hvac unit. I had to take it out and put in new gaskets. It was leaking from the top down the firewall, trans tunnel and finally pooling on the passenger side floor.

Bump. I believe that I've been having the same issue and would love a part number..

It sounds like you have the leak tracked down already, but its always a good idea to check around the blower motor housing while you are there. The foam seal can degrade over time and let water in.

Here you go guys, it's not a fun job, just take your time and go slow so you don't break anything. Mine was a littler harder with the 24v swap, but if you have the stock motor it should be much easier!

Yeah, these are my last two leaks that I've finally track down. I don't think my heater core leaks. My interior (minus carpet until three days ago) has been stripped so if the blower motor was leaking is be able to pinpoint it. Also what is required to get to the blower motor housing and replace the seal? The dash has to be out right?

If you don't think your blower motor is the cause for the leak, why would you replace that gasket? The blower sits inside of the gasket essentially.

You do need to pull the dash to remove the hvac box in order to replace the gasket.

Thanks for the link. And I think I may have confused myself lol. I think the leak is indeed coming from the seals on my blower motor. Number 2 and 3 on the diagram. I'm going to search around for a write up for the Hvac removal so I can start to tackle it.
