M42 parts, where are they hiding?

I havnt been into e30s since i sold mine and joined the army, but when i had a couple of them one of them was a m42 (for a week, RIP) anyways, Just like the Merc's 16v 2.3 the parts seem to be rare, like headers cams, turbo manifolds, Infact i never really seen any boosted or quick m42's, anyways, just wanted to ask a question ive been out the loop for quite a while.
    Thanks
    Daniel

Well, if you've ever had a close look at the stock exhaust manifold on an M42, you'd see that it's as good or better than any header......

There was a recent article in GRM about supercharging a '91 318is. The parts are out there if you look, but since there are not that many M42's as compared to M20's, they're a bit harder to find.....

You know how much their superchargers are? I think it was around $3,400.

With that kind of money you could invest in something like an engine transplant....
