So no, it's nothing like Henna.
Thank you, I wasn't patient enough to edit his response but thank you

    Byzanz Metallic

I have seen a few examples locally of Byzanz. Some for sale (when I was searching for an E36), others just cruising around town. Like henna, there are plenty of examples especially when you start looking for them. I am not convinced the color is sought after either. Some of these byzanz cars just sit for a while before selling. It's just a matter of personal taste. Like most, you discover the color by chance because you are searching for a specific make.

Mugello Rot I dont see often but looks more like hellrot.

Ha! I was just browsing my local CL and saw this ad - was thinking about posting it but you beat me to it. Too bad the seller isn't interested in trades, I would sign over the title to my Nissan Frontier without hesitation.

It was available outside Luxury package as well. There was no Champagne interior on the E36 M3 Sedan.
Pretty sure it has Grey Nappa Leather, but judging by the carpet it is not the original interior. I think it had Magma leather originally, since Modena was not available on Byzans cars.
There we go! As far as the interior, you are correct, it did not come from the factory with the champagne interior but the PO loved it so much, he got it redone professionally in that color. I applaud his taste!

As for as the number with the color, best guesses seem to be around 200 tops. About 1/4 of them came with a manual. So if anyone finds a Byzanz E36 with a factory manual gearbox.....buy it!

Wait there was a recall for the 5th gear lean issue?
