My 89 would cut out at 130 without a chip.

I think i have gotten my eta to around 125-130 mph.
and i let the needle go until it passes the end of the tach and enters the mileage indicator. rarely do i hit the r3v limiter, but sometimes i let it bounce.Comment

When i get punk fucks at lights that look at me like i am a dousche cause of the bass emitting from my car i let that shit bounce off the r3vlimiter as i look right at them. you can always see a distinct change in their facial features. and then i blow their doors off. unless i get in those rare cases where it is a car that is a little faster than an ETA, though that is rare. ;)Comment

You don't get many Ford Pintos down there I guess?you can always see a distinct change in their facial features. and then i blow their doors off. unless i get in those rare cases where it is a car that is a little faster than an ETA, though that is rare.
I'm just kidding... sorta! I only drove my ETA around the block once before I pulled the 2.7 out, but my first and only impression was "Oh my god, fucking weak!!!"...
And a few days later, the M30 went in.
Mr. Deagle, not to pick on you, but which one of your cars pulled 145 with 2.79 gears? My Alfa pulled 145 with 4.10 gears and the tach pinned at 6000rpm, right at the peak power. 155hp and 155ft/lbs out of the 2.5. That car was lighter and much more aerodynamic than an E30. If you say ETA, I'm just gonna go roll my E28 off a cliff and buy another 325e I guess.145 for me, 2.79 ftw'88 528e /// '88 M5 /// '89 951 /// '98 E430 /// '02 M5Comment

Rev limiter kicking in 6100 rpm's for 1st, 2nd and 3rd gears, 6200 something for 4th and 5th.
Top speed 230something KM with a 391 diff.
Useless info : Broken rocker arm as of yesterday, I feel like someone stabbed me with a knife every time my E30 has a serious problem :(Comment

eta with an i, its at like 5000rpms in 4th gear, theoretical top speed is 198mphYou don't get many Ford Pintos down there I guess?

Yes you do... but don't worry, 5th won't get you any faster currently as it is overdriven and the i motor definitely does not have enough power to push it any faster than that in an overdriven gear. You need a 3.73 or something along those lines I think, unless you turbo it or something cool :)'88 528e /// '88 M5 /// '89 951 /// '98 E430 /// '02 M5Comment
