Red line/rev limiter

the first (and only) time i drove an eta, i was bouncing the rev limiter on every shift. -
I think i have gotten my eta to around 125-130 mph.
and i let the needle go until it passes the end of the tach and enters the mileage indicator. rarely do i hit the r3v limiter, but sometimes i let it bounce.Leave a comment:

Not all.Originally posted by PeaveyBassist1990 and 1991 were limited to 125. A chip is suppose to delete the top speed limiter. In my 1991 325i there is OBVIOUSLY a fuel cutoff at 125mph. Revlimit is at 6450rpm.
Will
I have seen over 140mph, bone stock. Repeatedly.
Oh, and to the original poster, the stock limiter is 6400rpm.Leave a comment:

why rev up that far when the engine leans out and you loose power that high. plus if you keep doing that you will probably spin a bearing.Leave a comment:

Guest repliedWhat kind of mods do you have?Originally posted by bimmer8604My car runs out of power at about 144-145...so it seems that the chip does remove fuel cutoff.
Just besafe "testing" your chips and whatnot.
