Need some tire and rim advice!

Hey y'all
Planning on picking up some new rims, bbs reps for a good price online. They are 17x8.5 with et25. I'm planning on running 215/45R17 tires on it to try and close some of my wheel gap. Just wandering if this setup will work or if I will have rubbing/clearance issues with the fender or strut housing. My last rims where 16x8 et20 with 215/40r16's and I had no problems. Some help/advice would be much appreciated! Thanks
PS, its for an 89 325i vert.
