Erik, may I ask your data sources? Sure seems right to me, having driven every single one of those examples in and out of shops.

My sources? Sure:

I currently own each of the racks i listed with the exception of the Euro e30 non-PS rack. I can go downstairs and double check each of the racks later if you really want.

The data I listed is appoximated, so I don't want anybody complaining because the '96+ m3 rack is really 3.4 instead of 3.5 turns for example...

imho anything under 3 turns lock to lock is too sensitive for a dd/cruiser

Go drive a new Civic at the Honda dealer. 2.75 lock to lock.
