    New to the Forums..

New to the forums here and just wanted to say what a great site this is for e30 info.

Just bought my second '84 318i (had the first one in high school) and a '97 z3 so I'd thought I'd start looking into BMW clubs, etc in the Atlanta area. Anyone here from that area?

        Welcome.
There's actually a BMWCCA (BMW Car Club of America) auto-x at Gwinnett County Fair Ground off Sugarloaf parkway tomorrow. There's a lot of e30s around this area. Some of the members are on various forums and others you simply see on the road.

I live in Norcross and work in Lawrenceville. Come to the auto-x tomorrow and look for a white 318 with dirty gold wheels with the #9. We are usually there from 8am till around 1-2pm

Welcome to R3V. If you are a girl, go away now.

This place can be a bit immature, but sometimes we shine.

Can't make it out tomorrow.. keep me posted on future events though. It's something I'd really like to get further into.

... not to mention, having friends who loved to tear down and build back up cars is not a bad thing. ;)

I love all the disclaimers people throw out when someone joins the group.

No disclaimers needed... I actually went through the trouble of reading a few threads before posting stupid questions!

OK... take that back. First newb question:

What are folks referring to when they refer to certain cars as "eta's"

They're referring to cars that have the "eta" engine, which is a 2.7L six cylinder.

So what exactly are the differences between a 325e and 325i? Why do some models have an “s”, like a 318is, 325es, and 325is? Is the ’84-’85 318i the same as the ’91 31…
