OP: Do you know that "talking" about your plan lights up some of the same part of the brain, as actually doing it? Just the act of talking about your plans gives you some of the sensation/satasfication of actually completing it. In internet parlance it's called being a "dreamer". And it's sad to watch. But r3v leans towards the sadistic side - in a "make fun of the looser in gym class to get his ass in line" helpful sort of way.

So, you can stop posting, and actually go do some work - or just keep dreaming, and we're going to roast the f*** out of you.

This has my vote, reminds me of when I got my Mk2 GTI and got on vortex, my welcome over there was much the same but I already had parts and was progressing. Instead of showing off my broken mechanics to everyone and leaning into the punches they were throwing, I got to work and showed off the work that I did and from there, people started to answer questions and give advice instead of shitting on it. But, I really like being on this side of it so here it goes.
Get a damn rear apron, spend 400 bucks on new shocks and springs and turn just as many, I'd say even more heads, as if you tried to a budget sema stancenation build because your friend said it would be cool. You're not gonna get much in here with your plans and what you've already told us about yourself and I promise that absolutely none of us expect this to go anywhere. There's only a handful of widebody, diffuser builds in here but they're for track use and built by total professionals with high attention to detail and a big budget because they knew it would not be easy or cheap. Because they're professionals. Not kids who bought an E30 because their friend told them to. In for updates because I always need a thread or 2 like this for some giggles at work :D

Anyone can use a saw. I assume this will end like most "builds."

My first plan when I bought my rust free, clean, perfectly running e30 was to replace few broken parts. 4.5 years and $10k later I'm still working on that.

Fix what's broken first. Don't build a car that doesn't drive as it should be.
