    Best place/website to buy gaskets/seals/parts

    Hi guys,

I'm so sorry for such a basic question but until today, I've only owned modern BMWs like my E90 M3. I can't even change the oil on that thing which bores me to death so I bought a 1991 318is that I can play with and mod to my own tastes. I am in need of some basic gaskets and seals...and need some direction on where to turn. I know Turner Motorsport has some stuff but mainly specializes in performance. Is oem stuff going to be acceptable for my list (below)...and if so, where do I get it?

    oil pan gasket
    rear diff gasket
drive shaft boot repair kit (left and right)
bumper trim molding on rear sides
    battery tray replacement
    oil filter
    air filter (K&N??)
transmission mounts (Turner makes some nice looking ones)

Anyway the list goes on and on...please point me in a direction for parts like this. thanks!

BluntTech is your source for quality auto parts and accessories. Shop online for home delivery or pick up.

    https://www.ecstuning.com/

Granted, I have an e46, not an e30, but those sites are widely recommended by people here. And I've never had an issue finding all the parts I needed for my e46 between those two sites.

ECS is good for browsing parts and such, and if you need tools, but blunttech has great prices, fast shipping and the best customer service you could ask for. Plus Steve Blunt is a forum sponsor, so it's nice to support someone that such a big part of the community.

      thanks, Keine30!!

A friend of mine who is a huge E30 fan and has owned a handful just told me to get parts from a local BMW dealer. That seems $$EXPENSIVE$$ and unnecessary. I'm not working with a car that has a perfect (or complete) service history, so I know for a fact it's already carrying plenty of parts that were purchased from a non-dealer vendor.

I find most of my parts on ebay. Many sellers offer free shipping and have fixed price listings with best offer. I usually start by offering something like 50% - 75% of the asking price and the seller will usually accept it. You won't get oem quality parts this way but it's by far the cheapest method.

I recently got a fuel filter and intake boot for like $9 and $12 respectively. I would be paying twice that plus shipping at a parts retailer.

www.autohausaz.com always has parts in stock. Hit or miss for pricing though. Some really good deals, some near dealer pricing.

Thanks fellas! I should have also noted that I'm on the east coast...so for companies like Turner located merely hours from me, that shortens my wait time for ups ground shipments.

Definitely +1 for ecstuning and pelicanparts, those are my go to for OE or OEM parts. Shipping is never an issue, however you have to check ECS carefully because there are times when some parts are on back order.

Surprised I haven't seen FCP Euro. Lifetime parts warranty, great pricing. I've gotten a lot from them.
