That was my Texas find from last month. I thanked him perfusely, as he gave me some old photos from the time to that were autographed. A Bernard Hinault pic from the time and a Lemond was in it with him.

I love the look of my e30 with a bike on the roofrack or ski's in the ski rack. Throw in the mudflaps and some killer snows and she's a beast.

Coors Classic?!?! Old school, man! I still have some stuff I picked up during my racing days - banners, water bottles, shirts, etc.

Post some pics if you can.

I think they look really cool. I saw a black rack on a black e30 once. It looked sweet.
                Greg,
Did yours come with the 'wind deflector' that goes on the front that says 'yakima'?

No but I think I'll get one for it. Boy is it simply to assemble. Thule is not, props to Yakima.

Is it rain gutter mounted? those are better because they don't sit on the paint (except in the rain gutter. I prefer Thule because the rack sits considerably lower than the yakima rain gutter mount towers.

Rain gutter mount, I was tired of thule racks and the price was right. I have 2 Thule racks at present time both for my VW's but I need to sell the the one for the Scirocco due to sold it.

Take good care of the Yakima rack or it won't last more than one season. I work at a shop that specializes in Thule and Yakima racks and at least once a week I'm cutting bolts off of a Yakima bike tray or ski rack. Get some stainless hardware to replace the Yakima crap if you can. Sounds like a great deal that you got, though.

                          Thule over Yakima.

I may consider buying a rack this summer at work, considering I get it for a little less than wholesale! Thule may be a little harder to fit, but it is still easy. Of course, I have installed countless numbers of racks on customers' cars.

I do need a place to put my bike after a ride, but then all the mud and sand will fall on my roof!

I have a Thule on my old car which my sister nw drives. Good stuff, I ike 'em more than Yakima. I'm considering moving to my car this summer but probably not.
