Good deal?

I own a red 86 325es. A guy at I know is selling red 87 325is for $800.
I want to combine motors, 2.7 stroker. Am I correct in assuming this will be cheaper than getting intake, head, pistons,wiring harness etc.
The 325is runs decent, he drives everyday to work, but has alot of the common problems. It is a auto with tan leather interior and my eta is 5 spd with houndstooth. Should I go for it?

yes you should go for it, a running is for 800 is worth getting.

Yes, I am sure it runs. I looked at it today. His aux. fan is not working, its blowing the fuse. I think maybe the three wires, 2 black 1 green black, that connect to the switch on the radiator are hooked up wrong. It overheats when sitting still for a while. Anyway how much HP can you get out of stroker? Can it be turbocharged with low comp. pistons?

yes it can be turbo'd with the pistons you have (like 7.9:1 i think). But I don't know if you will see much power gains with the pistons if it's naturally aspirated.
