    I'm back in the 325is!

    I'm BAAAAACK

Hell yeah. I finally got my car back again. It runs like a beast! Really strong, can't wait to get the JC Chip in.

Feels good to be BMW and no longer in the Buick.

    :D

Yeah, it'll be replaced by pictures I take tommorrow in the sunlight. Somehow a 10pm photoshoot wouldn't be good. Needs a carwash too.

I gotta do some physics, but I really would rather go out and drive a couple hours around town.

Yes! How long did you spend without your car? 4 Months?

I'm going on 5 weeks without mine and I'm tearing my hair out!

Bingo, Lukas was pretty accurate. Since mid October. ~4.5 months I believe.

Jordan, I thought that too myself, especially after the bill. But he did a lot more than just swap the head. The total list of things done was a page long. Even if I could have done it myself, I wouldn't have. He noticed a lot of things wrong I would not catch, and hoses that were dry and cracked, and that one of my brake bleeder valves was broken off.

In reflection, it was worth it. The engine looks amazing, much better than the dingy, stained valve cover, and yellowy intake manifold and grudge covered engine bay. He went over everything very carefully and the engine is pretty set for years on end.

I give mad props to those who can do your own work, but starting out more or less on a rocker arm replacement is crazy. I'm glad he did it, there's too many things I wouldn't have seen. Like I couldn't tell where my power steering leak was coming from, but with the head off, he took care of the problem.

My taller springs come Thursday, and I'm scheduling an appointment with the reputable frame shop to get the thing aligned and it needs a new tie rod in the driver front side (another thing he discovered). So before April, the engine and suspension should be completely sorted out. The brake pads are new in front and good in the rear, and brake fluid is new, so I'm game.

Now all I have to worry about it so get it looking better (I have euro plate filler to put on, and I just sprayed my spare kidney grills black), and then changing up the wheels. Hopefully get a Z4 SSK before April 17/18 Driving School.

                Time without car: Suck.
Spring Driving School, Summer Auto-X with E30: will be kick ass.

damn, 4-5 months...its hard as hell...but after 6 months u start to get used to it...trust me, my first love (nissan 280zxt) has been outa commission for almost a year now...good thing i got an awesome beater car to replace it (e30 325i) in the "mean time"...to bad that mean time turned into a year, and all the money i saved to repair it went into modding the 325i instead...hehe
