San Diego Performance European is your best option by miles. If you want things done properly and professionally on your E30, then you should take it there. The owner has been the most knowledgable mechanic in town on classic BMW's for over 20 years now. He just finished building a custom m20 for a customer as he does alll the time and he is currently rebuilding an S14 as well because it is the most trusted mechanic for these cars. Great rates as well. Major experience and knowledge there. If you stop by just say Efren sent you. I work there in the afternoons. It is in Kearny Mesa.

Reviving this thread...Specifically I'm looking for a mechanic/shop with e30 m3 experience. I've been to La Jolla Independent before, but I wasn't very impressed with their capability/performance. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
