    Valve cover question...

I refurbished a 325e valve cover, painted, sanded and I'm about to swap it over but I just realized the valve covers are slightly different. Does anyone know If there is a mechanical difference? It seems that only the mounting points on the "e" VC are different. But I would like to know before I shoot a rocker arm through the new one.

well, just figured out the hard way that the support bracket for the intake manifold is in a different location...do I absolutely need to have one on? or can I get away with it for one day and drive to the junkyard tomorrow afternoon and grab the correct bracket?

You'd be fine for a day.

you can drive it that way for years. you'll be fine. you could also get an E bracket for the VC if you want to keep it.

I've been meaning to install that bracket for the past year and a half.

I should probably go do that now.
