What have been E30 FACTORY RECALLS? Problematic areas?

I'm also curious, if there was a part that BMW recalled many years ago, and that recall has not been made to your car, can you still get it done?

Profile gasket on the pre-1/92 M42 engines. Part number has been superceeded though.

    I'm sure there are more.

BMW has a factory recall on 86-91 325e/i engines.

          1. They replace the factory radiator cap with a new one with a thicker gasket, hence more pressure.

          2. They also run an additiional cooling hose to your firewall for some added coolant flow.

          3. And of course they add a quart or two of coolant.

It is pretty simple. Call your local BMW dealer. Give them your VIN number and they will tell you want needs to get done that hasn't gotten done. The recall is a big help in the summer in hot weather. Make sure you get this recall done ASAP.

The parts and labor are free to you.
