I haven't done the math, seeing as I don't really care, but when I drove my 86 eta from cinci to NJ around 3 weeks ago it only took a tank and a half to get there. Not bad for 600 something miles. That's with minimal maintenance, overdue for an oil change, the windows down the whole way out, a leaking exhaust, excessive speeds, and incorrect tire pressures.
Yo eta guys;gas mileage?

just think, if you maintained your car properly you would get even better gas mileageOriginally posted by ebelementsI haven't done the math, seeing as I don't really care, but when I drove my 86 eta from cinci to NJ around 3 weeks ago it only took a tank and a half to get there. Maybe I should. Chicks dig 20 year old cars with economy motors. :)Originally posted by german gjust think, if you maintained your car properly you would get even better gas mileage

My OBC may not be calibrated correctly, or it could have a small error that is multiplied many times throughout the 300 miles I get on a tank of gas; however, I have calcualted the mileage using the gallons of fuel pumped into my car and the miles on my trip meter and it is almost always 28-30 highway and ~25 for city driving.Originally posted by M3fan4evaGetting 30mpg in a 325iS is very unrealistic. I don't know about that. 30mpg on an eta is more likely.
I had a 4.20 LSD in an older iS at one point and this brought the gas mileage on the highway down to 25 and the city to ~20.
I wouldn't say that getting this type of gas mileage is unrealistic, perhaps it is just unusual.Comment
