This is my admission as well.
Some of the complaints here are just inherent to the size/volume at which they operate. Not discounting it by any means, but its what happens when you grow beyond a certain point.

Turner sold their parts department to ECS. If you call Turner parts now it goes directly to ECS.Leave a comment:

Pretty tough to beat ECS's site though. Id rate it as perfect as a site can get. I wish I had 25% of their budget.Leave a comment:

ECS / Turner's Canadian shipping still makes it too expensive to bother with. It ends up being cheaper to get parts from dealers here because of how much they charge.Leave a comment:

Just order from blunt. ECS is crap. The only reason anyone shops there is because of the pretty pictures and the illusion that they have stuff in stock at a low price.Leave a comment:

Only specific parts are part of the 'free shipping over $25'
Also I hate ecs because their 'eta shipping date' for all their parts is automated and doesnt pull info from bmw. So all those parts they say they can have in october? Yeah, they cant get them. But ecs will be glad to hold your money in limbo for a week or two before they actually admit to not being able to get the part. And when they can actually get a part that comes from germany, it takes weeks, compared to 3-7 days for bmwdirect/blunttech.
bmwdirectparts has by far the best pricing. and guess what? blunttech pricematches. So you can combine the best prices with the best service.Leave a comment:

well that didn't last but 2 days, now its a 25$ minimum.
I had thought of ordering some small body plugs to test fitment.

Yup! That's all I used in NY...NAPA had to order one for me...So I grabbed a few extra items along with my filter instead of waiting on NAPA.

I'm spent a bunch on shipping from Ecs... I've been using FCP euro for cheap shipping but I'm going to start using ECS again because I'm all about that iX life.Leave a comment:

This. I usually order small parts through Amazon because I have Prime, but yesterday I tried out the ECS free shipping. Got a washer fluid pump, exhaust hanger, hood strut, and radio delete panel for $45 shipped. Now lets see how quick they get here.Leave a comment:

Haha, I guess spell check can only do so much. I always use the part numbers off of realoem instead of the website's search engine, no mistakes yet
To my understanding they are a dealership with an online website, so only OEM parts. Then again who would buy anything else ;)
Here is my receipt from bmwdirectparts vs. Ecs shopping cart. Mind you ecs is without shipping. Probably $100 difference after you add shipping to ecs.

Cannot use the correct word for websites, uses "Teh" in username, drives an ix. Hmm, should we trust you? ;)http://www.bmwdirectparts.com//
Been using these guys recently. $900 order placed on Sunday at my door step Thursday morning, and cheapest by ~$50 out of all the sights I searched.
As to the site, it has more than a few issues in just a few moments of browsing, does not support vehicles prior to 1984, only seems to offer OEM parts, and seems to think that standard E30 front rotors fit E30 M3s and early M10 cars.Leave a comment:
