What superETA parts are desirable ?

Ok , well obviously I know that cheapskates like the bottom end to use as a foundation for a budget stroked "i" engine .

I mean like smaller things that are 88' eta specific ?

Is the tach and cluster set-up worth grabbing to sell ?
    ECU ?

Reason I ask is that while rounding up parts to finish up my 2 latest auto-manual swaps I ran across a nice superETA .
Just wondering if there is anything worth grabbing to unload online .
Not really looking to make a killing but more just trying to help those that need parts and have none in their area .

maybe the crank if people dont wanna spend a little extra for the 524td crank that is forged...
the pistons are good, the rods are good...the head...can be...if you drill some holes it.
I would get a 87-88 535i instrument cluster as it has a higher tachometer that you will be exceeding and a higher speedometer...speaking from knowing about 5 series that is...

Thanks for the post man , but obviously you didn't read my initial post .

I'm well aware of the bottom end parts ...and figured the head is no big deal since you can just get a real "i" head complete with cam and valve springs and no drilling needed .

I was more asking about smaller stuff that would easy to grab from a boneyard and ship .

Oh well it looks like this is a lost cause anyway .

None of the small parts are special and unique to the super eta. Only the cluster and engine.

Yeah thats pretty much what I was thinking .

Pretty sure that the harness is just a regular "i" harness so it won't be a priority to snag .

Was already thinking about the cluster ...but what about the ECU/DME ?

ECU prolly is as well. But most people that get super eta engine parts are using them for a stroker build so they dont want the 6k rpm redline that goes with that ecu.
