Did Racing Dynamics ever make a M30 cam?

I've searched online and I'm coming up empty...

I have a friend saying his RD E34 has a RD factory cam in it, and I believe him as the car idles like a 8cyl and has ALOT of top end grunt (compared to my m30)

anyone know?

My minty 1988 RD catalog specifies 3 different part # for complete engines (K35.2, K35.3 and catalyzed K35.4 versions) as well as 3 more part # (for additional charges) depending on if no engine is supplied in exchange, or if mileage exceeds 2,500km and another if it exceeds 10,000km.

No part # for camshaft alone. But it most likely is a Shrick.

But... there's a nice picture of the never released M20 24v head... ;-)

On the 6 series engine, RD claims 262 BHP (up from 220HP from the ECE motor) and 348Nm of torque.

that's a VERY generous jump on power...surely that can't just be from the cam itself...

Well, it is obviously a combination of cams, pistons and DME. Probably flowed head too.
