Emailing this new seller now. Pretending to be very excited. Asked him if there are any small issues. After he responds I'll ask specifically about rust.

Maybe the new owner has stock in Bondo?

Edit: Just noticed the guy who listed it originally on eBay has sold a few Land Rovers, so apparently, he is used to rusty POS's with all sorts of hidden problems. So not entirely out of his wheelhouse.

man.....this looks to me like the winning bidder is flipping this car with a dishonest description to rip someone off.

i could see someone either trying to sell it like it is hoping the buyer pays for it to be shipped sight unseen or perhaps does a half ass body repair job for >2grand.

i sure hope it isn't that guy with the indie bmw shop on california street in burlingame.

can one of you local guys drive by there and see if its sitting outside his shop?

Not a single note about rust or any of the revealing photos.

Someone is going to get taken for a ride if they don't see it in person..

pretty sure there is a second chance part to ebay where if you dont get your money you fall back on the last highest bidder.

seems like that new advert is missing any info about rust.. dare say its 5KG heavier in body filler.

Some one should contact the owner and see if he has gotten paid

Not sure the undercarriage matters at this point. I just meant he was upfront about the car being Swiss cheese.

That is a fucking parts car at best. I've parted cars that were 50 times nicer than that (at least structurally); this thing would get cut up without a second thought. Don't care how good you are at metal work, you will never truly find all the rust and make an acceptable repair. Too bad about the one owner/low miles/overall condition of the car (obviously besides the rust), because it does look decent, but this car is far past the point of no return.
