I dont speak German neither did my brother. We picked it up very quickly and got the essentials down quickly. Ein Bier, Twi (sp) bier, Danke, Bitte Schoen, Toiletten? haha Plus everyone there no matter where they were from spoke at least intelligible English.

fucking awesome. Going 220Km/hr was awesome going from Bamberg to Berlin at 3AM only took a scant 3 hours. I have more pics of arriving in Berlin as the sun was rising over the brandenberg gate.

I miss Germany myself. I was there last year for 6 months. Those pics bring back some good memories, but you HAD to have visited the 'Ring, right? RIGHT!!!???

We had 2 weeks, and that was near the end of the trip and were pressed for time and had to get down to Frankfurt, unfortunately. 2nd time in Germany I couldnt make it to the 'ring. Shameful.

but i can attest to them making their beer diploma-- i was too much of a puss to go at 8:30 in the morning to start drinking 10 liters of beer, but i watched them come back and someone puke in my flower garden!

hey mariano, Tanja and Me were at the spezial keller last night( the one that overlooks all of Bamberg(you guys took the cab to or from during the beer diploma) man it is nice there a 9:00 in the evening, gotta get some pics of that place up, and we were talking quite a bit about how cool it was for all you guys to come by!! Some really good memories for me too!

Yeah!! Emily was a soldier!!! I was looking over to see if she had any reaction to us tearing it up and she was just "la dee da" and was actually having fun. I was watching to see she wouldnt get scared and shes all smiling. GANGSTER!! Not drinking 10 liters of beer at 8AM is weaksauce.....I did it, and at the end of the day asked for more, and I dont even live there....haha It was cool to get compliments from Tanja's German friends for my drinking. Ay cool for looking into the diplomas for me!!! I have tons more pics of Bamberg that I will post tonight, dont fret. It took me hours to learn how to do it so now Im hooked.

Good memories.... I'm posting some pics of my camera phone. :)

#1 - That's the receipt for the beer diploma.... with all the stamps from all the bars. That's staying in my wall :)

#2 - All of us at a bar in Bamberg with a badass crew. We sat at the regular's table and drank with all of them. Oddly enough Mariano dissapeared with an old man that no one knew for 20 minutes and (completely unrelated) later that night the bar caught fire. I laugh at the randomness. Yo Mike, did they ever get that bar back up and running?

#3 - Mariano tempted to touch the Stammtisch (which I think means regular's table or something). The rule is that if anyone touches it, you have to purchase a round of beer for the whole table. Stephan got us a round of shots. :)

#4 - The crew that went for the beer diploma...... before any beers.

#5 - Men on a mission.... I believe that was like the 3rd or 4th bar. I didn't take many pictures towards the end of that because quite honestly, I couldnt lol.


Man Germany was badass. I gotta go back sometime.

The Hofbrau Lager at our local Hofbrauhaus is the same - they brew it here, but a German brewer from the Hofbrauhaus in Munchen runs the show . . .

As for the bottled shit - its hit or miss. The Lowenbrau is definitely not the same.
