THE Best Two Upgrades for $225!

Wow. That is what I'm thinking when I reflect on the two upgrades I did to my car this weekend. Getting my car back tuesday, I finally put on two things that have been waiting for too long in my room.
1)JC Chip 2) Sparco Strut bar.

Both are awesome improvements and well worth what I paid: $125 and $100, respectfully.

The JC really gives me an extra kick, and it is noticably better than the Dinan, in my eyes. I put that in Friday after school and before I went out.

The Sparco bar improved my handling and ride. It took a lot of the jolts away from my roads, and at speed in corners, a definite difference was felt! I had to jack up the subframe to get the towers far enough apart, but that was simple enough install, did that today.

The best part was when I stopped by my uncle's home. His mechanic buddy drove there in his E34 M5, and was helping my unk under the hood of his E21 320. :D

p.s. To give some purpose to this post, Nick, Deutschmarque, said he could hook people out with Sparco bars, if any of you are interested.

I agree - the JC chip was a major improvement in my 325is. It definitely pulls much harder with the JC, especially in the mid to high range. It is an absolute must, I think.

I tried calling him and PMin my friend, but he's been real busy with his job.

                    I don't think it'd fit an 318is though.

Nick says he is working on the Sparco now, and will get in touch this week.

So I finally went and mounted the Sparco today. I set it up like yours, under one cable and above the other. Jacking up the car sucked.

I headed straight for the local school and rolled over a few speed bumps. Now THAT was some head tossing. It's so much more solid, it feels like I just added 50lb/in stiffer springs in the front.

If things go to plan I should be installing the Z4 3.0 shifter this afternoon. 8)

Yeah, but DEs cost more than $225. Mine in a month is $325.

you'll get a lot more out of one. Do you not think a DE is worth $100 more?

btw- most of our BMWCCA events run $270
