My dad and I are looking at purchasing a Baur e30 to rebuild and have as kind of a cool weekend cruiser. There is a 85 323i Baur for sale in Eugene, OR that we are looking at and I was wondering if there was anyone in Eugene that wouldn't mind saving me a long trip to check it out in person. I have see a picture and it is definately a project car, but he says it runs great etc. Basically I want someone to go and look at it to give me an honest opinion about condition (ie rust, dents, interior, canvas top, etc) so I can save an 8 hour round trip drive for something that is really bad. I think everything should be cool, but if you have time let me know.

Unless that P-car is coming as a deal of a lifetime, I dont know how its being considered (price wise) with a project e30 (baur or not)

We are not picking one or the other. Obviously I would have him get the 930T over the Baur. The only thing is really garage space. One car is $35K+ the other is abot $1500. If I get the Baur it will probably be built at my bro's house.
The 930 is already in perfect shape and would be my dad's baby, while the Baur would be a car we build for concours, shows, and just all around fun driving.sigpicComment
