HR cup kit with blisten shocks

how much do they run and how much would a reasonable shop charge to install them....

The H&R cup kit is set of shocks and springs together, no bistein shocks. You can find a set for $550 shipped. Do you mean the H&R sport springs? H&R sport springs + bilstein sport shocks would run around $600. Installation, if done at a shop could run $400-500 depending on how rusted your bolts are.

haha no! I was at my mechanics place, and just out of curiousity I asked. that's what he quoted. According to All Data, thats how long it takes (I've never trusted that expensive program though). And NO I did not have it done there. I did it myself.

Here in San Francisco they charge from $200-350. These are prices from shops. They charge so much because springs are dangerous to work with. If it's not compressed correctly alot of bad things could happen, i personally heard some pretty bad stories, so it's not worth getting injury for unless it's for a good prices :D . Also some cars are time consuming to swap springs. Now if you get one of those import stores to do it, its' probably $100 dollars and they do it ghetto style which is without spring compressors but thats usually on japanese cars which don't have our ball joint. Doing it yourself is the cheapest and you learn the most, good luck, and if you do it yourself don't be careless and you be fine.
