How do I clean this crap off of my new ellips?

I can't turn the aiming screws on the back of my ellips. How do I clean this off? Any ideas? I was thinking steel wool and wd40.

I looked for it at 3 different places and no dice. But I was able to find some Naval Jelly Rust Dissolver that looks like it'll work pretty well. It's soaking now, and then I'll probably take a wire brush to it.

Am I correct in my assumption that I need to unscrew those long screws to get the lights out of the brackets?

Thats weird that you can't find it. Maybe its an East Coast thing.

They cost $7.80 each to replace. To remove them you don't unscrew them all the way as that is just the adjuster length. You unsnap them from the plastic grommet that is mounted on the headlight unit.

Very simple job, remove the rings and look at them. Usually it's easier to spin the shaft lock to the frame then to unsnap the ball out while they are together.

I see the plastic grommet. I think it'd be kind of easy on the low beams, but the highs would be pretty difficult.

I don't understand you last sentence. What's the shaft lock? I don't see a ball.

Look at your photo, see the white plastic unit? Rotate it 90 degrees and it will just slid out. It real is very simple, just a little time consuming.
