I am unable to advise about your area and the price vs condition of E30s, but I wish you the best of luck in finding what you want.

We can dream! Sorry to burst your bubble now, but for $1000 you are not going to find any decent E30. It is a tough game to get into now because a decent E30 will easily run you north of $5k. E30 convertible might be a bit easier to find for around $3-5k, but even that will require a few more thousands to make it enjoyable. Good luck.Leave a comment:

Help a 17 year old buy his first car
I honestly don't know where to start, every since I was about 7 years old I found out about a beautiful car called an M3 (E46 to be exact) and from there I've just grown an obsession for these cars that were being produced by BMW. Then I would later on come across "old timers" the legendary E30's as my uncle would call them. It was because of him, who lives in Germany that's showed me these beautiful vehicles that made me fall in love with them. Now it is my time to buy myself my very own car and there's no other car I'd like more than a high mileaged relatively clean E30. The problem is I'm only 17 years old, my parents will not allow me to work because they rather have me focus on other things. I love my parents but I can't say I'm on the best terms with them most of the time, my father has a house he does not want to sell because he was raised in it and it causes him to work overtime and side jobs just to barely pay off our bills and mortgage. Worst of all, he bought my sister a damn Hyundai Sante Fe (Ew). So am I counting on myself to find a used old E30 that runs and that I can proudly say its mine. All I'm asking for is if ANY of you know about ANY E30 that's running in an OK condition for under $1,000. Thank you guys so much, I'm glad I'm a part of this community now. Feel free to PM me. P.S. I'm located in the Midwest.Tags: None
