Funny thing is, my wife was the same way at her HS, didn't care about any of the Pomp and school spirit garbage. And believe me, we are doing far better than the majority of people we graduated with..
I never went to my reunion (which was last year). I don't think there was even one to begin with that I'm aware of. You're most likely right about the massive weight gain with a majority of the people. I've seen a few of former classmates in public and there are some pretty drastic changes that I'm fortunate enough to have not had to go through.

Maybe if you picture yourself getting all Gross Point Blank and coming back to your reunion and hearken back to the (not so) good ole days.

Maybe it's my years as a mobile DJ talking, but every prom is the same, and there's a good chance nobody will ever ask you in the future what car you drove some date you probably never will see again to some dance at some school nobody cares about.

I was helping my uncle do the sub frame and trailing arm bushings on his Z3 during my Prom. 6 years later and I don't regret a thing.

Get a plush SUV rental for prom. Don't knock her up.... Then graduate, get a decent job and then buy yourself the dang E30.

    Agreed.

How are we supposed to take this kid seriously if we dont' have any supporting evidence of his hawt date?

We've gotta make sure she's e30worthy! If not, poor OP will be wasting his time and money!

I drove my alpine e30 to prom a couple years ago. Her parents were so sketched out when I rolled up to pick her up when they saw how low it was and how wide the wheels were. I legit had to convince her dad that it was safe. It was pointless because I don't think the chick was very impressed anyways. You must have one real special woman.
