Hub the same for aftermarket steering wheel for 2002 & E

I got a nice suede Momo steering wheel with hub off of a 2002 my brother was parting out. Will the hub fit my e30 ('91 318i) or are the splines different? I'd like to know before I pull my old wheel off, since I still have to drive to school for the rest of the week :)

    Thanks,
    Mad

PS - If the hub doesn't fit my car, feel free to make an offer if you'd like to buy it.

You know, it takes about 2 seconds to pull the wheel off and try it out for yourself.

I don't mean to sound like an ass, but its just one bolt. I've taken mine off probably 20 times.

Thing is, it's not just one bolt. I have an airbag wheel, and the torx screws holding the bag on are almost stripped. Therefore, I'd rather not mess with it until I know for sure.

It's not that I'm lazy, it's just that I'd rather save myself the hastle, you know?

Speak for yourself, on a 91' 318i with the goddamn airbag it is a bitch to take it off. On my '90 325i one of the torque screws for the airbag wouldnt come off.... took me 20-30 mins to get that thing out. You also have to disconnect the battery, the airbag, then go for the 2 torque screws so you can THEN go for the main one. It's not a pain at all, but it can be time consuming.

Yeah, there's a good chance that I might have to drill the airbag bolts out to get the wheel off. The airbag deployed when the previous owner hit a deer and he tried to put the bag back on himself....totally farked the bolts.

Sorry guys, I wasn't aware that the airbag wheels were so much different. My wheel literally comes off in less than a minute.

According to the momo hub application chart, it would not fit. http://www.ltbmotorsport.com/hubkit.html

IIRC, the splines are different. It won't likely work.
