(56K = NO) A trip to Ferrari of Washington...

...in Virginia. This is the only dealership allowed for the D.C. region. I stopped by after a visit to the Air and Space Museum nearby (Enola Gay, Concorde, P40's), and they had some serious collector cars, including a 550 Barchetta with a hardtop, among others. I got to go into the garage since my dad knew a mechanic. He's the guy in the 2nd picutre of the 456 undercarriage below, next to my dad. Enjoy!


























The first classic is a 1961 Ferrari 250 SWB California. Then in the shop is a 365 GTB-4 Competition. Then, the highlight was the 250 GTO. The rest you know.

Oddly enough I saw a 550 going towards VA. on 270. I have seen a 360 coupe in Bethesda. Today.

And a Maybach 57 in Bethesda today as well. On the road.

You're half right. They used a MG's chassis and engine for the one in the movie. The body was a replica. A very good replica. I can assure you the one at the dealership was real. And yes there are only 58 left.
