k guys here is the deal. my odometer and trip meter stoped working at 151010 and i want to know what is the deal here is it the cluster that needs to be replaced or is it something else?

There ae some plastic gears that run the ODO and trip meter that strip with age. Replacements can be gotten from some guy online but it probally be easier to find a new Speedo.85 325e 2.7 ITB'd stroker

Its a pretty common problem with our cars.
Usually one or more of the little plastic gears on the cluster gets stripped out.
You can get replacements at www.odometergears.com, or you can just get a new cluster.'91 318is
