I can't even imagine the maintenance costs on a twin-turbo BMW. A regular BMW is already a lot! :)1988 325ic Automatic

Maybe I can convince the sales guys down at BMW to let me take one for a drive while I'm waiting to get clamps for my new intake boot.

Actually, the 335i dyno'd as high as 300hp (275 hp seems typical) at the rear wheel, so the real power is a lot closer to an E46 M3. Car and Driver's 1/4 mile time for the 335i was almost identical to their last E46 M3 test. If you really want a sleeper, get that motor in the sedan and put base 328i wheels on it.
Not to mention the possibilities with just a chip. Vishnu (those guys famous for Evo tuning) has been posting at bimmerfest.com and has seen almost 330 hp at the rear wheels with stock turbos etc.
