i am not saying that i would do it..... but as soon as he applies the brakes all of the paint on the rotor will be scraped off.... from robs sig, it doesnt look like he got overspray on anything.... the hub of the rotor would remain red, protecting it from rust....
the only thing really stupid about it is that he painted the backs of his pads, and the dust shield.... oh well
this a3 jetta gl came into by work a couple weeks ago with painted drums, and calipers....
the car was red and really clean, but the calipers were now gray (repainted) there were some chips so i could see that they had previously been green.... and the mounting surfaces had obviously been green....
there were a couple things wrong with this car on the outside, and some on the inside....
there were some stickers in the windows, and i was looking at them..... the person had a powerd by volkswagon sticker in the window on both sides.... the stickers were designed to be intalled inside the car, but they were put on the outside, so all the letteres were backwards (pretty damn funny)
the funnies sticker was the, no joke "prelude type R" sticker on the winder..... there were probly about 5-10 stickers on the car, but these were the worst....
when i had to pull the car out i got in and the floor mats had been replaced with those plastic astroterf bath mats, and it had the usual goofy shifter and ebrake handle with a wierd boot....
