Hello,

The price looks really good for what it is, just wanting to know if there are any specific issues/ problems with the Vert as I've been searching forums etc if there are parts issues. I would like to do a manual swap eventually but it seems daunting, just want opinions. I'm meeting the guy this weekend to look at it and possibly buy. This wouldn't be my DD so it can be out of commission for awhile.

If you want a vert that one seems fine.

If you specifically want an early model vert, it doesn’t look like it’s beat to absolute shit. I’d negotiate the price forsure, doesn’t look enthusiast owned.

If I wanted a convertible I’d save more money (a total of $5k-$7k?) and wait for a late model 5 spd.

I'd check the following -

Is there any rust in the floor pans (especially the rears), rockers or rear trunk pockets?

Is there a documented recent timing belt and water pump change?

Is the top in good condition and operates correctly and are all the window seals are good and in alignment?

Are the tires in good condition and not more than 3-4 years old?

If it passes those, I'd say its a decent buy. If not, negotiate downwards from there.
