and you were dissapointed. i know how you feel. just transitioning from my 325es to my se-r is a pain in the ass and as soon as i start driving i realize i miss shifting. but my se-r is a fucking beast. so its all ok.

Ya, mustangs are nice, and I would drive one. Expecially a cobra, I was just not as impressed as I thought I would be.

egh, i have to differ on that one a lot. mustangs arent that great. the gt's and cobras are alright, but a properly modded dakota r/t will lay waste to them in no time. and everybody has one. they are literally everywhere..

Of all the things to compare a Mustang to, you pick a small pickup? That's a random ass comparison.

I never said the motor was small (however, you would've really shown me up if it was a hemi). Sometimes people like to compare cars to their competition.

Motorcycles are faster than both of those, so there.

They didn't make Cobras in 2000. He still should've won if ya kept goin.

are you guys chevy fans? When ever i hear someone say the gmc sierra was more impressive than the stang, I get the impression you wouldn't be impressed with any ford. This is also usually followed up with how chevy trucks are built tougher than fords.

If you want to drive American muscle, go drive a new Vette or a STS-V Cadillac. Hell, even a Chevy SSR. THAT is muscle. Stock Mustangs just aren't that fast. They've gotten away from their "Lightweight, cheap and fun to drive" heritage.

yes they did the cobra R...i only think they made 450 of them.... and the dakota r/ts are pretty bad....I got my ass kicked street racing a modified one...from a dig we were neck and neck but come 3rd gear I might as well of been in a e28 524td  , he pulled a good 2-3 car lengths and i didn't start reeling him back in til we were over 120mph....but we shut down before I could catch back up to him

The more i think about it, it is a 2001 that has had 2 motors in it allready, the 1st time it blew is when a kid took it for a test drive at the dealership. then he bought it and drove it a month and it blew again. now ford said if he puts the vortec s/c back on it they will void the warranty on the motor. I've heard people saying that the new mustangs are slow maybe if they put something bigger in it then a 4.6L it would be a little better of a performer, personaly i thought that the 5.0L (302) was small allready..
