I've heard of that. works for mice but not squirels. They ate the entire harness out of my original 66' Mini Cooper S two winters ago......damn engine bay was full of acorns too.....:(Leave a comment:

So what's with the tarp under the car?
If there's any problem with mice in the barn, an old hot rodder trick is to use like a 1/2 box of Bounce fabric dryer sheets all through the underhood, cabin, and trunk. Appearantly mice don't like it. Never tried it myself, but I've heard it from a few different people.Leave a comment:

I did that once, like hell im going to do it again. Expecially not in a barn that has no front door.
As much as I like freezing my hands to socket wrenches I think I will wait until spring lolLeave a comment:

I dont think so lol, well maybe. Spring just means I need another 10 grand or so to put into her. Not to mention countless hours of labor.... bleh.Leave a comment:

Shes gone :(
Well the m3 is hibernating again. Got a spot in a barn for $50 for the entire winter. Just dropped her off yesterday. It has already begun to snow, although it melts when it hits the ground and I don expect "real" snow until december.
But I chucked a tarp under the car, filled it up with stable, jammed some steel wool in the exhaust and duct taped it shut, and threw a bag over the air filter and taped that shut.
The only thing is I noticed a colony of birds in the barn, all the other stuff that was stored for winter had tarps on top. I think birds are going to shit all over my car, so I have to get a tarp on top of it.
Im sad.Tags: None
