92 Mtech 325iC ?

Whaddya think? Was there an Mtech 325iC in '92 and if so, does this look like the real deal???

I'm seriously gonna try to buy this car. Only bad thing is that it's had an engine fire, so the insurance company totalled it and now it'll be forever branded with a salvage title. But it doesn't look like a major fire, and the car appears to be in pretty good shape overall.
