Thanks all for the comments - this is my "cheap" car ...or at least that is how it was supposed to be when I sold my 4x4 Toyota Tacoma to get the BMW and cut some expenses (no more car payment). Then I went a little nuts modding the car! It was bone stock when I bought it in March.
Not sure the wife will buy the idea of getting a beater car to spare the 'vert winter driving! We can take her X3 if the weather gets really bad, but I still have to drive the 'vert to work.
I guess I will have to just move ...or quit my job so I don't have to drive. ;)

Just move.:D I SO don't miss swaping to a winter setup like I did when I lived in the Chicago area. I think the biggest bummer was the sunny, clear, dry days that would pop up and the car just looked lame. I was notorious for swapping back to the summer setup too early. A warm early spring weekend only to be followed by a surprisingly late snowfall the next. Ah, those were durring my VW days.Leave a comment:

Aaron, you are right. That is LAME! I offer you two choices:
1. Move. That's right, somewhere warm, sunny...17 "inchable".
2. Park it till spring. Yup, drive some other car. More for the rest of your cars needs, being rust free and all. Keep it that way!

Winter is coming, and I don't want to bang up my Kopis slipping and sliding around on tires never made for ice and snow, so I pulled them off for the winter and put back on my bottlecaps. Damn they look tiny! On the good side, the ride is much nicer now!
