Yeah, he dominated all the way up to fourth place.

Say what you want about Alonso, but he waxed Schumacher's ass two years in a row.

BTW, I'm bookmarking this thread. We'll see how your predictions go next year. ;)

aside from his puncture, he did dominate. He was clearly significantly faster than the rest of the field.

Care to make any suggestions of your own almighty Lair?

What's so special about alonso anyway? he's just another money hungry athlete going to whichever team pays him the most money. Sounds like any number of players from the NBA, MLB, or NFL. It's hard to convince your fans that the championship is important when you leave the winning team and move to a team that has been struggling. I certainly don't think Schu' ass was waxed this year. Schu just finally hit a bit of bad luck, last I checked they both won 8 GP's.

Jeez, you Schumacher nuthangers STILL refuse to acknowledge the truth.

Alonso walked away from the last two seasons with the World Driiving Championship in his hands. Schumacher did NOT. Alonso had every bit as much bad luck as the Chin did, and FIA even penalized his team by removing their mass dampers mid-season. Ferrari was also allowed to use a moveable aerodynamic device that they called "brake ducts" and STILL lost the WCC to Renault.

Deal with it. Alonso kicked the shit out of Schumacher's ass.

        I got you a hat.

It appears you are a biased Alonso fan boy ;)

Alonso didn't run away with anything this year, both MS and he has 7 wins and the points were even close at 134 and 121. You're right though, MS didn't win the driver's championship or the last race, only showed that he was clearly the fastest the car on the track that day at Brazil.... but for arguement sake, lets throw out that completely...

Massa deserves some recognition here as well since he probably had one of the better races of his career, won his home GP, and lead Alonso by over 18sec ;)

Massa was the only driver that I saw "dominating".

I'm an Alonso fan, but just beacuse he's proved his worth on more than one occasion. He's the youngest WDC in history, and he's also the youngest race winner in F1 history. You can't pull that off without some measure of raw talent. You guys can whine all you want about Schumacher's inferior car, but I'll wager Alonso could have won with it. ;)

BTW, I used to be a Schumacher fan - at least I was until the final race of 1994. After he crashed his Benetton at Adelaide and then rammed Damon Hill, I stopped being a fan. His continued underhanded tactics have cost him my respect.

If you have to cheat to win, you're no winner.

(Of course, you may be a republican, so the above statement may not apply to you.)

button has no hope [hondas not that consistent] Likewise for rubins

kimi has been in a good car, not the best driver. bad tempered, wont work well with ferrari

alanso got screwed by renault, and mclaren has poor reliability

fisi has a chance at renault, but lacks the ability to finish, has a high rate of attrition

spiker, super best friends, redbull in all its forms have no hope.

williams switching to toyota power will make it a rebuilding year

toyota may be a suprise, all cars switching to bridgestone and a large budget help this [toyota is on bridgestone, has leg up on michelin cars that are forced to switch]

kubica has a chance, he is the real deal and has proved that a car, once a back-marker in the hands of JC [1997 champ] can be fast despite what that blabber mouth canadian says

massa has the best chance. he was taken under schuies wing, and i see it as schuie stepped down cause massa would of been forced out had he stayed, meaning he sees talent and a leader. also, ferrari is used to massa, massa dosent hop on a yacht when his car breaks down in a race or starts fights with course workers. and massa has already done what rubins never could even with a dominant ferrari a few years back, being wing man to the great speed schuie would always show.

never the less, the sport WILL NOT be the same. he made f1 what it is, he made ferrari what it is. the man to watch the past 15 years was schuie, for reasons we saw in his last race; push even when it seems frivolous, but do it out of determination.

              EDIT:
Liar, get your head out of your ass. Schuie dominated that race, short of Alonsos lovely team mate fisi not giving way, he would of lead by mid way and pulled away hand over fist. Alonso is fast via the car. Michelin favors its home soil like all frogs and worked with them more then most other teams. The car built around a tire if you will.

Need i not point out the past few years of FIA restrictions to slow down ferrari [test cars, tire regs of last year, quali schemes] Nor should i point out Schumachers 91 wins, 7 WC [damn near 10 given a few issues here and there]

Yet Im a fan of alonso, have been, until he mouthed off to the press about Renault not wanting to give mclaren the '#1' designation that will follow him to his new team, and that renault was giving him inferior cars. not to mentiong flavios deliberate peep show of the rear michelins after the USGP. NOT ONCE did i see Ferrari, or michael for that matter bashing bridgestone last year.

None the less, Alonso got screwed looking for a new job after renault decided not to join in '07 [again, frogs] so he was sent looking for a new job. sadly, mclaren isnt what it was in the late 90s.

Alonso HAD to leave Renault, at the time of his decision to do so, Renault were not committed to F1, Flavio Briatore said as much on the record.

Fisi is very inconsistent, Kovalainen is unknown.

Schumi, good bye, good luck, brilliant driver, not a good sportsman.

Massa will win a handful of races (because of the car, not ability) and that will be the end of him.

Kimi is the best out there at the moment, how he will get on with Ferrari remains to be seen.

Eventually BMW should do very well, just get rid of Heidfeld.

McLaren should have concentrated more on car/engine development instead of on that palace of a factory of theirs, and now they are paying for it. Ron will probably sell his share to MB pretty soon...Shame, Bruce must be turning over in his grave.

Williams (to me the greatest F1 team ever) need lots of $$$. Nico Rosberg, well we'll see. Wurtz will be like DC was at McLaren, which is not a bad thing. I hope they don't listen to Eddie Jordan and try to sell to Toyota to become a Lexus F1 or something, although Frank and Patric are not getting any younger unfortunately. I really, really hope they win another championship before they call it a day.

Paragon is. . .well, a paragon of design. I could be a part of any losing team that's based there.

haha wow i missed out on some drama in this thread!

best race of the season...without a doubt...

absoloutley loved the fact the massa won his home gp, imagine all the brazilians when the anthem was playing

im a 'frog', being born from france, and belive me i was routing for my team renault to win that constructors championship over ferrari (after seeing ferrari dominate so many years in a row) but i was rooting for micheal to win that race. i would have loved to see the legend win another championship before going out, but seeing the race before where ferrari blew their engine, and after hearing his car had a few pump failure during qualification, AND a puncture! it was just not meant to be. i wanted it to, and was loving every minute of him coming back through the field and driving like the schumacher he has always been..so please, dont bash all french people like that

i like alonso, hes young, and an asshole, but the pups got talent...hes what one year older then me and racing in one of the best cars (was racing in one of the best cars) on that track...shit im jealous...he is making a mistake leaving renault and i think he knows it...but there is one thing i dont like about him is his attitude...he likes to play the blame game a little bit much

kimi and ferrari haaaaa, cant wait to see how that drama unfolds...
that fin likes to play the blame game too, but i cant blame him after seeing how great mclaren has been latley..

i believe toyota will be much better then the hondas

super best friends impressed me for being such a young team, did a lot better then minardi has done

umm lets seee dont know what else to say...hell of a race i thought..next season should be interesting..michelin didnt impress me much this year and having all bridgestones next year should be interesting...

what do i know tho ive been drinikin haaa, i could go on and on

i dont like flavio i think he is a cocky shit

cant wait to see alonso blame game mclaren all day...he may have one the last two championships, he had the entire package, but he will not be a schumi with that kinda attitute

and cant wait to see renaults new car

cant wait to see how bmw does

blahhh i love f1 and will really miss schumi, it will not be the same without him

after getting a puncture and coming all the way back and passing KIMI !!! the man that is replacing the legend HAAAA i loved that!

how many times did schumi get fastest sector and wait, held on to fastest lap??
