    UPS shipping

I ordered an oil pan on Saturady March 12. I've been tracking the status of my package since then. Unfortunately I have not seen any activity since Mar 13 2:52 A.M. Is this normal or did it "fall off the truck". They said it should be here by Friday and I'm concerned it could be misplaced. Anyone had similar experiences with UPS?

Then that's like 5-6 business days from California, I don't feel like looking up the exact time.

While it's coming across the country in a truck, or train, whatever, they won't bother to scan it. It'll get to a main hub on the east coast and get scanned again. Don't worry.

If you really are paranoid (and I wouldn't be), you can call UPS with the tracking number and sometimes they can give you a more detailed report.

I too have noticed that the UPS tracking number isnt updated regularly. Once, I had one update and that was it until the package arrived.

If you think UPS is bad, try USPS tracking. I've never had a package be delivered that was ever scanned or came up on their website.

Yes, but USPS does a better job of taking care of your package. UPS is pretty lazy sometimes! In my experiences at least.

                  I had some problems too.

Then they said it was going to be delayed a few more days and finally it arrived out of the blue.

Finally my package has arrived locally this morning. Package is scheduled to arrive at my doorstep tomorrow. Do packages ever arrive earlier than their estimated schelduled delivery? Do you think I can go to their warehouse and pick it up instead?

That's happened to me before. Don't worry, I'm sure everything is chicken soup.

You can't go pick it up at the warehouse until they've already tried to deliver it, and you weren't home or something.
