Alp white I vs Alp White II?

I remember seeing James Crivellones (sp?) car and liking the alp white I. i know it cant really be relayed that well through pictures, but i might try and see some in person. I'm gonna be repainting my touring next year, but the bay will be sprayed soon while the motor is out. Trying to see some alp white I cars, as all I've seen is alp II

so if you've got pics of alp white I and/or alp white II, post em up please

alpine white is alpine white. you def arent going to be able to see the very minor shade change on a computer. I have no idea what mine is, but the M-techic I parts on mine were sprayed alpine white I

Doesn't it have to do with single stage paint and water based paint with clearcoat?

I'm throwing that out there, I'm really not too sure. I know the shades themselves are very close.

alpine white 2 can be compared to the purity of freshly fallen snow. alpine white 1 is what the snow looks like after all the neighborhood kids have finished playing in it for the day. still looks nice, but when compared to alpine white 2, its just not the same

I have an alp II and Criv has the alp I. I have seen our 2 cars next to each other many times and the color difference is very minimal. I think the different alpines get a bit brighter as numbers grow, but you will never notice unless you have the two together and are really trying to look for a difference then you might see it.

If I were you I would stick with the alp color that your car already is. That way any areas that might not get painted (inside the car etc) will be the same color.

I honestly don't know if mine is Alpine I or II, but here's a picture of the re-paint this past spring. Car is an '86.

Unless you have two cars, one alpineweiss I and the other alpineweiss II, taken in the same photo side by side, you can't really see the difference, especially with the variety in the cameras/lighting etc..... I found this picture of my (now former) car and my cousins, mine is II and his is I. In person, mine is actually whiter, that's the best way to describe it, it can kind of be seen in this photo

Here is a shot of my M3. Bumper got sprayed by p.o.Alpine White II by mistake. Rest of car is Alp.I which is a little creamier, meaning a little yellow in the paint.
