    smogged the m30...

    Took it to a random shop - pulled up after a crazzy freeway run (lots of 30-to-90 pulls - just to warm up the stock cat)

    I was a bit worried when the guy stared to crawl around my engine bay, checking fule evap, vacume lines, my cat - even my freaking gas cap!

    Yes - $50 later - Pass visual, passes the sniffer....I rolled out of there with a smile on my face....

    God I love my m30...

                          I just smogged my M20 today. I had to convince the guy that it wasn't a 318 anymore, so he could use the numbers from a 325i. Gas cap is always tested, to make sure it hold pressure, and visual here is very, very lax.

                                  We never get visual tests in MD, unless you fail horribly several times. Ive taken in catless vehicles, several carbed vehicles, and a few cammed cars to the sniffer. They never say a word, probably had a 50 percent fail rate.

                                      ive never had the experience of them opening the hood or looking for the cat, never heard of them doing that to anyone i know either. yay, washington is lax on somthing!!! lol, my m20 passed with flying colors and i dont even run a cat!

                                          YAY!, We don't have emission in the county I live in. I run a Cat on my eta, because it is a DD and I could care less. Turbo and 2002 have no emissions at all.

                                              my stock 325i barely inched by on my smog. talk about t3h gayage. i failed the first test and had a retry..which i passed by a couple points...

                                              ill deffinitely wont pass now.. :-D
