So I'd been driving aroud with 9006 bulbs in my US ellips for the lows and I was pretty dissapointed. Then I flipped on my highs for the first time in the dark (just got them) and holy shit they were bright (especially since I haven't done the relay mod and they're the only ones running). I did a little mod to the projector bulb holder (read: used pliers to break a tab) to enable it to hold a 9005 bulb (the high beam bulbs); they're MUCH MUCH better than the 9006 ones. They're higher wattage and they're not dipped. Everyone with US Ellips should do this, they're way brighter and clearer. However, I wouldn't say that they're as bright as my previous Osram Silverstar H4s (which Rob is the proud owner of now).
Those with US Ellips - Use 9005 Lows!

I'm getting some euro smilies soon. And HID in the DISTANT future. I'll probably run Osram Silverstar H1s in them for a while.Originally posted by M-technik-3Didn't I mention that to you? why did you bother looks or are you going to do hids down the road?
