I am considering buying a 2002, need some info ?

i know this is the e30 forum, but i thought u could help, ok my friends uncle has 3 2002's he has a rally one with like $20k of suspension, a very hot N/A 2 litre, it leaves WRX's for dead off the mark, but it has very short gear box so top speed is about 140km/h... he also has another white one that he bought off a old lady, its like brand new only 60,000 kms. its one with the nice round tail lights.. we wants $2000AUD for it and i am really considering buying it.. is there any1 here from Australia that can tell me if it is hard to find 2002 parts here ? and are they overly priced ? other wise ill buy a different old car to do up

Oh and the white one also comes with a set of High Compression Pistons :D for free, they were off his last rally car, his engine blew and one of the pistons went into the head, but he has a replacement 4th one

      Email my uncle lawilson@globalcrossing.net

He has a 2002 he restored and it's awesome, and a 2002 he's building for track, and I believe a parts car as well. He can help you out.

            $2000AUD is a fucking steal !!!!!!

seriously that is a fantastic price for a 2002 (especially if its in good nick - which im assuming it is), he is giving you a really good deal

i dont think getting parts for a 2002 would be much different to an e30, i have a friend who is a 2002 nut and i dont think hes had any big problems getting parts out here

Oh yeah, Trent. I forgot a sec about your 02.

Have you posted some pics of it here, or was that just on E3S? If not, post it up here!

I havn't seen the car yet because my friends uncle is away, he does alot of charity work... But he will be back soon, the 2002 is apparently is very good conition, but just a few little dents that prob arnt worth worrying about. It has the original stock wheels :P which i would soon ditch and find me a set of 14" superlites and the clutch cable or linkage is snapped, hopefully that is cheap to fix :) Also another friend has a spare set of twin side draft webers carburetors 45mm he said he will sell for $150 AUD...
